Similan Thai Cuisine - Issaquah

I had lunch today with my grandson, and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. We ordered the Pahang Crispy Duck and the Chicken Red Curry Soup.

Whenever I visit this town, I always have to stop by this restaurant. They never let me down!

The food here is consistently excellent. There’s a generous amount of chicken, and the flavors are vibrant and delightful. This is definitely my favorite Thai restaurant so far!

The service here is always excellent—our server was attentive and ready to accommodate our every need. They were particularly on top of their game today. The ambience is a bit sterile, but it’s just a neighborhood strip mall Thai restaurant. Overall, it was a great experience, and I could have eaten quite a bit more, but that’s a conversation for another day. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

The bar is a nice addition, though it's located behind the cashier with no dedicated seating. My wife's absolute favorite dish is the house salad, especially the papaya salad—she's been hooked on it since her first taste. The balance of spice and flavor in that dish is just perfect. We also frequently order the tom yum soup and pineapple fried rice. I usually don't go for crab puffs, but they do a fantastic job of filling them with cream cheese and imitation crab meat, which is a delight for those who enjoy savory flavors. Throughout all our visits, we haven't encountered any significant service issues. There have been times when service was a bit slow due to large crowds, but that's a testament to the restaurant's popularity rather than a fault of the establishment. I would only be disappointed if we were among the few customers and still had to wait 20 to 25 minutes for our dishes. I think diners should try to be more understanding and perhaps use that time to enjoy a drink and catch up with their friends.
