They have 4 ban chan dishes they serve with each meal: potato salad, pickled seaweed, kim chi and pickled radish. When you get to go, you don't get the potato salad.I am not a fan of the cold noodle though. Too much noodle, not enough meat.If you pay with cash you get a $6 discount. If you want to eat on the patio, you pay like a fast casual place first and then they bring out the food to you. Plenty of patio seating. The parking lot in this plaza is never too busy because it's next to a kohl's.
Food is OK.The seating arrangements is so complicated. I'm glad I wasn't the only one confused as they had to explain to people after me. They have an inside sitting like a normal restaurant. Here is where it gets complicated. They have outside seating where you have to order yourself and then tell them which table# you are sitting. Except the tables have NO NUMBER. And to make matters worse, some tables (that look exactly the same) you aren't supposed to sit in Other than that it was OK.The service was great. The ladies serving kimchi and other delicious side dishes are VERY NICE. The guy at reception? He shouldn't be in service business. This is one example if you want to elevate customer experience, Keep It Simple, Stupid! #KISS
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tang 190 for lunch and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the friendly staff and decided to have lunch outside (covered outdoor seating) because it was the perfect weather to do so. You put the order in at the counter inside and tell them which table you are sitting at. They brought out plenty of banchan with water and tea (complimentary but be sure to ask). Definitely come hungry because they are generous with their portions. I tried the spicy beef soup and it had so much flavor. It did have a kick so be ready for the spice. Overall, great spot for some Korean comfort food in Irvine!
Very good place for Korean comfort food. The restaurant itself is not too big but offers a nice comfy patio. Back rib soup is a must-have, the beef fell off the bones so easily and was packed with the flavor of the beef, yet still clear and not too heavy on the tastebuds. I loved the octopus rice plate too. The seafood and green onion pancake was not my favorite tho, only because I prefer crispy kind of pancakes and this was more on the fluffy side. The owner and people were super nice and friendly, def recommend!
Worst Samgeatang I’ve ever seen. Half of the container is empty, nothing except a little chicken. The soup is beef soup which is the other dish at this place. You guys can see the picture, an Empty container with beef soup. Lmfao. You guys charge me 23 dollars with tax and can’t even give me a real chicken soup. Never coming back. Should just go to h mart and get a real bag of samgeatang.
