Having gone to a few Shabu Shabu, I must say this place is definitely one of my favorites. Service and food was great! After the Sunday service at Saddleback Church, my cousin and buddy was craving for some hot pot. We happened to park right in front of the place and looked up and saw SWSH Shabu Shabu. We were like when the heck did this place exist? We've been going to 85 degree Bakery and never even noticed! Like what? Shabu Shabu? Take me there now earthlings! But wait *with finger point up*, I must check the Yelp reviews first on this place. Awesome 4/5 stars with over 200 reviews, sounds legit to me. Leggo! We bounced on over and was greeted by Son Joe. They stared at us as we stared at them. They gave us are you coming in look and we gave them that are you going to kick us out look since we got kicked out another place prior to coming here due to closing time (another story for another time! . It was a good thing we didn't eat at the other place or we wouldn't have found this hidden gem! Praise God! Service: Son Joe totally AWESOME! Greeted, seated, informed us, recommendations, suggestions, the whole dealio! Food: Two kinds of broth the regular broth that you find at all Shabu Shabu places the Sukiyaki. The Sukiyaki was totally new to us and we all loved it! It comes with a pasteurized egg sauce. Totally weird at first, but wowieeeee! If you're unsure about which to pick, they can split the pot in half so that you can try both flavors. It was soooo good! I had both! Yippeee! The meat was thinly sliced and yummo! I got the short rib and that was good enough for me and I just love a place that serves brown rice. YES! I will come back! I will! I will! *jumping up and down like an overly excited child that's about to pee in their pants* We also had dessert! Full as heck, but made room for it. We had the Green Tea Vanilla Fondue per Joe. A must try! If you don't feel like shabu, come for fondue! This would be cute for dates or just for those who just want some dam sweets! Is that Strawberry dipped in Green Tea Vanilla? GIVE IT TO ME! *elbow punches buddy's face* Environment: totally hip, nice and clean. There's a bar area and a booth area. The difference is that the bar area you get your own pot and at the booth you get to share the pot if you have a party of 2 or more. As we exited towards the door, happy and full of gluttony. We were feeling so cool because we found a yummy place! All 3 of us (the Triad with our stunna shades on at night not sure where we're going, but heading somewhere...slammed open the door like Chuck Norris would, rolling out.. no seriously.. we had to ROLLLL out because we were full as heck! Anyway, we rolled out, all cool though, with bright lights and fog in the background and a dozen white doves released.. it was.. just.. wait for it... AMAZING.. Yep I felt like story telling today. So yes, this is my new favorite place. I'll be heading there for Shabu Shabu from now on. Catch me if you can Frank Abagnale style!
I'm in love with this place, and everybody knows it. Their secret goma recipe is legit, they have more selections than any other Shabu and it's quality. They know my name up in that spot now. I SWSH
This is an excellent spot for Shabu Shabu! Their lunch menu has a variety of meats and vegetables to choose from. Everything, from the sauces to the service, was outstanding.
Fantastic restaurant! The atmosphere is clean and decorated in a modern style. Each person gets their own broth along with vegetables and meat that they can choose. I ordered the spicy broth with a combination of rib eye, scallops, and salmon, and the quality of both the meat and vegetables was excellent. The staff was incredibly friendly. I highly recommend checking it out!
