The first thing they told us is that we have to go there and couldn't eat there. I start ordering on the screen, a few minutes later tells me the same person? That's what we know from Shawarma. I don't know if the food is good, but I know it's a bad business.
Being Lebanese, I 'm always down to try some Middle Eastern food, like falafel. With the name Falasophy , I had some high expectations. These people must have really studied the art of making falafel. Their truck was stationed at a conference I was at, so I figured I 'd give it a try. The line was super long. It must have been 30 45 minutes before I even got to order. Once I ordered, I got my food within 10 minutes or so. This whole process took about an hour not ideal if you 're looking for a quick meal. I ordered half Garlic Chicken Shawarma/half 24 Hour Steak Shawarma Bowl $14). It came with rice, pickled cabbage, tomatoes, and cucumbers. I made it a meal $6) by getting a side of Falafel balls $5) and a soda $1). This bowl was way too pricy, in my opinion. I didn 't even think food trucks could serve items over $20. It defeats the purpose of quick, cheap meals. The meats were well seasoned and I liked the flavor and crispiness of the falafel. The rice was nothing special but went well with the meats. The vegetables added a fresh element to the bowl which I appreciated. I enjoyed the meal but it was not worth $20. It was a good try, but I don 't think I 'd come back.
I used to come to this place a lot and I had 5 star review before. But last couple of times unfortunately I had bad experiences. The food is not like before. I feel quality dropped a lot. I really like the people who work there, that's why it was hard for me to give this place a 3-star! But, I hope this helps them solve some of the issues and bring this place to the level it was before. The main issue is food quality. Almost all of the food I got in my past 2-3 times were cold. They made the meat and leave it there to become cold before put it in plate or wrap!!! Maybe because it is cold, it feels not fresh and does. Ot taste the same. The other issue is Fries were not cooked properly. They get soggy so fast and makes the whole experience really bad. I really hope this place get back to their glory times. I really missed those days! I might not go there anytime soon, but definitely will get them another try later.
The last couple of times we came, the food was moderate and cold and the wait is too long! We waited 20 minutes for our food and it wasn't busy at all. There were a few before us. The cabob was not boiled well and had a smell. That was the last chance we gave here. Don't come back. I'm so disappointed, this place was good when he opened. UPDATE: Food hurts my stomach. I change to a star.
Came with a friend for a late Friday afternoon lunch. The Falafel is amazing and service was friendly and fast. My friend thought his fries could have been a bit of Crasper/less soggy, but otherwise he enjoyed it. Always a great choice for a quicker walk-up lunch that will leave you satisfied. My only reservation is that the Falafel is not as much bang for your Buck as several of the plates / gyro options, so note that you have a little less food.
