Oversea Ipoh

This Restoran Oversea is an institution here in Ipoh! The food is oh so good, so outstanding that I had to post a review here! The roast pork melts in your mouth I never knew this to be true until I ate it here. This is my second time having roast pork here, and this time was better than the first. The steamed soon hock was outstanding as always. The homemade toufu is absolutely gob smackingly good, tender, flavorful and very satisfying. Services were impeccable. For any celebrations, or events, this is the go to place in Ipoh and they're well deserving of the reputation! Go try the food!

The Grand Dame of Ipoh Chinese restaurants. Always a must visit as the food has kept with the consistency through the years.

More than 8yrs not here for dining although I’m ipoh mali. Went here for relatives birthday lunch. Food was surprisingly good and in generous portion, but sadly not on par with its price Although it was famous for its ridiculous price, but we didn’t expect it to be that high. BBQ pork and bamboo fish were the highlights in which I am to give compliment here. Both tasted so good but of course it’s price was four times higher than outside Other dishes are above average such as the fried Thai chicken, crystal prawn, beancurd etc. Can taste the dedicatedness of chef cooking. Ambience was good, with little parking around as it was a busy area. Customer service needs improvement for such ridiculous price too as not enough people that serves you.

Food is ok, char siew is not as good as last time, roast pork is good Tong sui is good should try.

Read the mix reviews of this place as their standards have dropped. I wanted to distinguish myself. Their food standards and quality are still very good. We ordered her famous wooden sieve and it was juicy, fleshy and sweet. We also ordered the Premium Fried rice and it was excellent, full of wokhei! You fried tofu was silky and smooth. And the crispy roasted chicken was delicious, especially the onion Slave with sweet and acidic sauce (taste like a Rojak sauce). Even the Kailan was fresh and criminal. The service was friendly and prompt. Overall, we loved what we ordered. This is definitely a restaurant worth a visit. Up there!
