Fortuna Board Game Cafe - Iowa City

The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere with a wide variety of board games and tasty snacks. People of all ages were enjoying themselves and the staff was welcoming and accommodating. Guests are permitted to bring their own drinks as long as they adhere to respectful behavior.

I absolutely adored Fortuna! It was a fantastic and affordable night out! The owner and staff were extremely friendly and they have a wide variety of games to choose from! The snacks and drinks were reasonably priced, although I wish they had more drink options available. I will definitely be returning for more fun in the future!

My wife and I enjoy playing board games, so we decided to try Fortuna for a date night. We had a fantastic time! The staff was incredible - they knew all about the games and had a system in place to help players of all skill levels. They even had a live help desk person available. While we played, we enjoyed two hot drinks and a delicious order of popcorn. Everything was perfect. We will definitely be back for another date night. And we really appreciated the fun touch of eating popcorn with chopsticks while playing games.

Finally got to check out Fortuna and was NOT disappointed! Great selection of games, munches and drinks. Super affordable prices, friendly and helpful staff, my only complaint is that we don’t have one up in CR ? but I’m happy to drive down to visit, because it was a lot of fun. We had a member of our group who doesn’t particularly like board games and still managed to find three games everyone had a blast playing!

Wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff. The coffee was amazing! There are also some great board games to choose from. I definitely recommend giving Fortuna a try!
