Bluebird Diner - Iowa City

The experience was average. I'm grateful there wasn't a long wait, but there was no designated waiting area. Our server was excellent and there was no delay in receiving our food or drinks. However, the food was somewhat disappointing as the sausage patties were undercooked. Despite requesting a substitution for my hash browns, they were still served on top of my eggs. The eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly and I appreciated that the shredded cheese was mixed with the eggs. On a positive note, we had the opportunity to see Caitlin Clark, which was a cool surprise.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, especially the fries and well-seasoned burgers. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Our waitress went out of her way to accommodate my allergies, and the kitchen was very understanding as well. I would give this restaurant a perfect 10/10 rating and will definitely be coming back in the future.

I really enjoyed this restaurant for breakfast. The servers are always friendly and willing to explain anything on the menu (for example, I was unsure about the various ways eggs can be cooked, such as over easy or medium hard. The server was very kind and took the time to explain each option).

We always have breakfast when we pop down to Iowa City to see our kiddo!

Great pancakes and omelettes. A great place for vegetarians too. very good service!
