The french I, my mother-in-law and my son (3 y.o came to the market hall to have eat and drink. we choose a beautiful place on the sun on the terrace and ordered cappuccino, cocktail and for my sohn apple juice and still water. (almost all...the parent mix juice with still water not so concentrated so you should see my face when the waitress brought me a still water in an empty beer bottle. just what? They didn't have glasses or what? I have tried to ask why here is a beer, which I have not ordered, but she never pays attention to my question, and then I found out that it is a water for my kid in a beer bottle. that wasn't all. on this place we could not find anthibg in the menu. So I asked if it is possible to order food in another restaurant. where the people told me that it is not a problem, it is a food dish and they can just get a wee at a place and snacks at the other place. So I ordered to eat in the other restaurant. with super friendly chef and waitress. and then there was an surprise. water position of the franzose that it is not so far to do it. So literally we were on the food dish from the place where we ordered drinks. So we all had to take our plates, glasses, jacks, children's cars and all listeners and move to another place. where the Italian chef has kindly offered to have a place at his place without even ordering. because he saw that I didn't know what to do now. when the food arrived and we didn't get a table. which is not the end of history. I wanted to pay a drink before we go, and in 2019 it is not possible to pay with a credit card. (whoever uses the honor that they tell us close to, nit, to conquer me if I would make my wife to praise. I'd make it easier if they say it on a polite, at least normal way. They did everything to me, and they managed to stick to a bill. I said they wanted to announce my son. what exactly? the people were just shocked, just like me. and yes. I don't speak German, but when I come to the most touristic places of the city, I assume to speak English, and I think this should be a skill of the waitress. I highly recommend visiting innsbruck market and all restaurants there. but the French!
We chanced upon this place while walking around the farmers market and the whole decor and quaintness drew us in. Also of course the fact that they have a crepe machine there. And we were not disappointed at all. There isn't an English menu but...the lady owner was friendly and gave us some recommendations which we gladly took. Fish soup tasted so home made and it was light yet flavorful testament that they boiled it over an extended period without adding in other condiments. The crepe was also excellent and very French style. Would highly recommend everyone to try this place. Oh and there's a great view of the mountains too.
On the look for something small off the tourist stand we landed at 13:00 on the terrace of the bistros. already after less than a minute, a dame came to the table and seemed to want to receive our order with a energized "yes please". we were not so far and asked politely if we could look again into the map and if it could come again. she sniffed and left our table wordless. we called her irritating after if something wasn't okay? they waved over the shoulders and swelled "but clear." we saw that leaving immediately, we didn't want to disturb. the quality of the food we can unfortunately not judge but the service is more dissuasive.
During a visit to innsbruck we discovered this small French bistro in the market hall, and since we like the bretane, we have eaten Bretonian fish soup and delicious galette,to drink a good cidre. It was very good, also the owner who serves herself, and french is,very friendly to the guests.
