Had a terrible lunch, ordered the special Salisbury steak, corn, sour dough bread and a salad x2 and two waters to drink. We got salad and Salisbury steak with fries and no bread. While it took almost 30 minutes to get our food my wife?s was raw and bleeding in the plate. They took hers back and said they would not charge us, however they did not offer to cook another steak or if she wanted something else. Other tables of people seemed to be waiting for food a long time. Another table got bread at the end of the meal, the waitress told them that the cook never told her the bread was ready. seemed a little smokey inside like the cook had burned something up in the kitchen. I don?t believe that the cook has enough help in the kitchen. I tried to reach out to the owner via social media but had no luck. Paid 14.99 for one meal, I will say the steak I had was tasty and the fries were crispy like I like them, but you should be told of substitutions and if there is no more bread to be served with the daily special. The owner must have been busy this day catering Valero as I saw posted on the restaurant wall. Been here about 6 times and it seems hit or miss. I guess this visit was a miss.

This charming local restaurant is a fantastic choice. The service was excellent, and the food was both delicious and served piping hot. I ordered the lunch special, which featured flavorful chicken served over wild rice, accompanied by a generous piece of butter and toasted bread. You also have the option to start with soup or salad; I chose the salad while my companion opted for the soup, which was a delightful cream of asparagus. I look forward to returning. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner here, so keep up the great work!

This is hands down the best bacon cheese omelet I've ever had. The place has a charming old Austin atmosphere. Great food and even a bit of blues playing on the radio—now that's the perfect vibe.

Absolutely delicious! The food is fantastic, the prices are reasonable, and the staff are very friendly. We’ll definitely be returning next time!
