Watami Sushi - Indianapolis

I don't quite understand what all the hype is about. H2O has an interesting decor and is clean, but that's where the positives end. I've visited multiple times, each time hoping for an improvement in the food, but I’ve been disappointed on every occasion. The restaurant has a cold atmosphere, likely due to the extensive use of concrete. The food ranges from poor to mediocre. When I see black sesame seeds floating in my miso soup resembling dead ants, it becomes clear that they lack a fundamental understanding of Japanese cuisine. If I'm spending around $35 on a meal, I would like to feel reasonably satisfied.

The sushi was fantastic! It was incredibly fresh, and the variety of unique rolls was delightful. It's a fantastic place for a date! Overall, I was very pleased with both the service and the food. I will definitely return soon!

I've visited H2O Sushi several times, which is quite significant since I'm not usually a fan of sushi. Their salad is exceptional—definitely one of the best I've ever had at a restaurant. The miso soup is also impressive; it’s made from scratch and not one of those instant mixes. I feel confident eating sushi at H2O because I know everything is fresh!
