El Arado Mexican Grill - Indianapolis

Good Mexican cuisine with ok beer/liquid selection and fast servers. Good if you want something else.

I give 5 stars because the food is good and the prices are great. For two entrees, chips salsa and a pitcher of Maragaritas (about three drinks for two people), as well as a 20$ tip, my wife and I paid 70 a total, or 35 a person. The park situation sucks, especially on a Friday or weekend. I wouldn't try to park on the family dollar parking lot.

I came in with my best friend and our children. Our food was good and we have no problems. I tipped 10.25 on an 85.75 bill. When I looked at my banking app, it said 102.36 was my sum. I assume there was an automatic fee. My problem is that it was NIE MENTIONED OR STATED ANYWHERE. They charged me $6 and they didn't say anything about it.

I guess I caught them on a bad day, but it wasn't a good experience. The food was mediocre at best. The restaurant was not very busy, but the service was pretty bad. It took almost an hour to get an order for five people, food did not come out as ordered. Ran from drinks/chips and salsa before we saw the server again. I wouldn't recommend this place.

It's not in my top 5 Mexican restaurants in Indy, but it's not terrible. Their location is good (corner spot in Fountain Square), so maybe go there for a margarita, not dinner. Inside seating is cramped, and their Tilapia Mexicana is on the bland side. Chips are thick and crunchy and the salsa is a little spicy. We had to ask for a refill on the salsa, because they don't provide little containers of it for self serving.
