The walls are adorned with vintage photos, beach scenes, fishing artwork, and a variety of quirky items, creating a delightful atmosphere. The tables are spaced nicely apart, which I really appreciate in smaller diners. The service was friendly and prompt, with our food arriving quickly. Be sure to check the Specials Board behind the counter; that's where you'll find some real gems. I tried the lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberries, and my son had the Power Bowl—both dishes were fantastic. There's something truly special about those pancakes that made them so delicious. If you're in Satellite Beach, this restaurant is a must-visit for breakfast! You’ll definitely get a taste of the local vibe.
For drinks, we went with coffee, sweet tea, and water. The coffee was quite strong, and it took our server some time to locate cream; most of what was on the tables was flavored. After about 15 minutes and a couple of requests to other staff members, our server finally brought a cup of milk for the coffee. Although the service was slow, the wait was definitely worth it! The lemon blueberry risotto pancakes were incredible, and the stuffed French toast was out of this world. The biscuits and gravy were tasty, though there was a surprising meat flavor in them that I thought was bologna—my companions disagreed. Overall, the food was fantastic, but the service left something to be desired. You’d expect a little more attentiveness at a small family restaurant. Despite the service issues, I would definitely come back and highly recommend it!
An excellent choice for breakfast! The food was incredibly delicious, and the prices were amazing considering the generous portions. The service was outstanding as well—our order was accurate, and the server was quick and efficient.
My BFAM* Steve offered to bring us breakfast this morning at a place that makes the best biscuits Gravy he had ever eaten in a restaurant. There is no way to give up something after an introduction like THAT! We uploaded the car and moved to Beverly. Mountains that... he brought us to the Banana River Cafe in Satellite Beach. And I'm telling you he didn't lie. Let me first say that I am 100%. No part of it has ever been found in a prepacked mixture where it just added hot water. No. There is a wealth of sausages that are boiled in the severity and to say that it is liberal o he a freshly baked cookie is an understatement of the highest order. Secondly, I would like to admit that I have grounded eggs (2) and turkey sausage, freshly ground and mixed on site. Why did I screw up? Well, it's because, how much of the cookies and Gravy you get! The eggs were scattered and were light and fluffy and incredibly delicious. The sausage was moist and subtle, but unfortunately I couldn't eat anything. I was stuffed to the pebbles! Did I mention that I ordered a sweet tea to drink, and the guy didn't even hit an eye? When I was verified, you have sweet iced tea?!? He answered, Absolutely. This alone is almost worthy of 5 stars. But combined with the excellent food quality, top of the line service, AND the real roasted sweet tea, this place cures everything just until 11. Unfortunately, I can only give 5 stars. You know well that they deserve it! tl;dr: Banana River Cafe, the Spinal Tap of Breakfast Cafés!
Cute little restaurant. Beach artwork up for sale. This little Cafe cranks out big breakfasts with a lot of flavor. Service is a bit slow so make sure you bring a great conversation partner with you.
