Mangiare Italian - Independence

We're quickly falling in love with this restaurant. The food is delicious, the staff is wonderful, and the atmosphere is inviting. I can't recommend this place highly enough!

We decided to order a few items from the Happy Hour menu. I highly recommend the sample plate of salads—it’s fantastic! I chose the special, which was Chicken Parmesan served with a delicious creamy basil pasta, accompanied by some lovely vegetables. My mom opted for the tortellini with squash and mushrooms, and it was equally tasty! The decor was charming, featuring old doors and windows integrated into the design. I would love to sit outside before the rainy season begins, as well as try out the larger room they have available. Overall, this restaurant turned out to be a hidden gem!

The food was absolutely delicious, and Emma was an amazing waitress.

When you first walk in the door there is a faint musty odor but it’s not a deal breaker and you’ll forget all about it quickly. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food. I had spaghetti and meatballs and it was delicious. We will go back.

To be completely honest, the kind service is the most desirable thing. The restaurant is not in a coveted location and once you walk inside, it was very humid and had a funky smell. The waitresses were on top of it, we were promptly seated and our order taken. Our food came out fairly quickly but was quite disappointing itself. I ordered the pasta classico, the sauce was watery and the pasta was dry but the waitress was very amiable and tried very hard to make it better. She gave me another sauce which sufficed. Overall I wouldn’t return but I appreciate them having good service.
