El Tapatio - Imperial Beach

There wasn't anything particularly negative about my experience at El Tapatio, but I found it odd that everything from the food to the plate presentation seemed to be a replica of La Fiesta Restaurant. I appreciate restaurants that have their own individuality and uniqueness, which most successful establishments embody. It felt like El Tapatio lacked originality in comparison. I'm curious about your background in the restaurant industry before opening El Tapatio - which restaurant did you work at before?

This is hands down the best carne asada burrito I have ever had. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the steak was cooked to perfection. As a true food enthusiast, this dish completely satisfied me. The photo doesn't do it justice, but let me tell you, if you're in San Diego and you don't try this burrito, you are truly missing out. Tender, juicy steak, freshly made tortillas, and just the right amount of guacamole and pico de gallo. It's perfection wrapped in a tortilla. And don't forget to add the pickled jalapeño carrots for an extra kick.

I live in Imperial Beach and after 2 years of being in the opposite direction, I decided to go to El Tapatio. It is located just a few minutes' walk from the beach. They offer takeout for dinner and I decided to dine in. The staff there was extremely friendly, providing excellent customer service. I ordered the mixed fajitas which included sizzling steak, shrimp, and chicken, accompanied by fresh vegetables. The meal also came with tortillas and toppings. The food was well-seasoned and delicious. I highly recommend giving them a try if you are in the area. They also have a wide menu selection to choose from. Overall, a great experience.

Taco Tuesday!!!! Great deal on street tacos that won't disappoint. I judge by carne asada, and this shop does the basics right. The quesadilla with the white cheese!!!! I took it to-go, but there looked to be plenty of seating available. If you are nearby, stop here! I wasn't disappointed.

I ordered 5 rolled tacos with cotija cheese for pick up, Tacos were short only three tacos there was no cotija cheese and it did not taste fresh soggy and had a sour taste. They ask you if you want cheddar cheese or cotija cheese I don't know why they ask if they aren't going to put any cheese at all. Another time I ordered a California burrito dined in and as the other person mentioned in their review the chip basket was very small probably fit about 6 chips in it. The California burrito was missing the sour cream how could you forget the sour cream that's what makes it a California burrito. It wasn't very busy when I went it just seems like they always forget to put cheese or sour cream. It's just not worth the prices that they are charging. Food does not taste all that great.
