This store is outstanding and the customer service couldn 't be better! We drove from Patchogue to check this place out and it was well worth the drive! It was our first time in the store and we were impressed with all the meat selection. We picked up their peanuts (mini frankfurters and Krainerwurst (suggested by a butcher , German potato salad, beef bones (french onion soup! , and some chocolates. The peanuts were incredible! I am totally ruined (or saved when it comes comes to hotdogs!! Now I realize the American versions versions have too much fat and salt. I don 't like German potato salad (my husband loves it but I can honestly say Forest 's recipe is not only edible but crazy tasty! We will be eating the Krainerwurst later this week but I have no doubt it will live up to my now now high expectations. I really appreciated how friendly and helpful the staff (butchers was...I wish my boys ' pediatrician was as awesome as these guys! If you haven 't been here yet, go! Like right now! Well, check their hours of operations fiirst, but go asap!!!
Top quality meats, top notch customer service, like the old days!! I absolutely recommend Forest Pork for all your German delicacies!!
Beautiful high-quality business with old world feel. Delicious meat, beautiful rustic breads and baked goods and amazing holidays German chocolates! Too much to describe...if you want European excellence, Forest Pork Store is a target. Worth the trip!
Wonderful specialty store! Have shopped here for many years! It is the only place locally that has my husband's favorite Lithuanian bread and fresh kielbasa, and ALL of my own personal German favorites. Also, the meats are fantastic!
