The location is out at the end of the pier so you get to soak up the ocean view, the beach, and the beautiful weather on the walk out. The inside is the tale off two decors. The bottom half is a true 50s style burger joint while the upstairs half is your waisting away in margaritaville type tiki bar. From upstairs you get one heck of a beautiful view with your meal. Our server was very attentive, not always quick, but always there and extremely enthusiastic. I ordered their spicy burger and fries... it came with pepper jack sriracha and jalapeños... I have to say it was Oooooh My Goddie toooo Hottie!! Literally!! But ohhh man it was good too. It was a good sized burger, juicy, cooked medium, and lovingly smothered in all the condiments. The fries were the thin crispy type I love... I didn 't leave a single bite left over. What an awesome all around experience. There is one draw back to this location however... it is extremely hard to leave. Once you 're here it will be a struggle to want to get up and go. The temptation to just get a drink and stay the day is all most irresistible!
3 moms with 5 kids. This was a adorable restaurant for after Huntington Beach Day. I thought it was going to be an expensive menu because of the prime location but to my surprise it was very reasonable. We were seated on the second level called the tiki lounge great views great decor and dimmed lights. Perfect place for noise talkative group of kids. Tip- Do ask to be seated on the 2nd level Food took a while to come but it was absolutely delicious!! I had the super burger with avocado on a sourdough bread amazing I substitute my french fries for sweet potatoes fries and it was a perfect choice for only $1.00 more, the kids were stealing my sweet potatoes away because it was so good. One of my kid had the grilled cheese sandwich and the other the hamburger with added cheese both had French fries for only 6.99 each and their portions was fairly big for a kids plate I was surprised. They both devoured their meals and of course I had to order the famous Ruby 's Milk Shake which was nothing less than delicious and at 4.99 each, quality products for sure totally worth it! Kids and parent approved Unfortunately our waitress was a little slower and not very sharp, we had to keep asking other waitress for water refills or extra napkins or hot sauce because she would forget and not bring any. This location is a great place to take that special one as well I found the restaurant very romantic, specially the 2nd floor after it got darker outside. Our favorite restaurant now at Huntington Beach will be coming back for another delicious meal and amazing views, so Thank you Ruby 's
Don't know where you get your chili for the fries from. Don't really want to know. Chili is great for obliterating your digestive tract to smithereens. Plucked the fries without chile outta that heap of brown smudge. Salvaged about less than a dozen fries. They were crispy. Left all that so called chili goo on the plate as you can see in the photo. At least I had 1/4 mile walk down the pier to walk off the gas before I get to the car. The service was good considering that they were closing. Cold night. Love the 50's look. Ruby's Diner. HB Pier Skip the chili fries. Might be back
The iconic end of the pier destination. Ruby's diner is my home. No matter the weather, the wind, or the time of day, Ruby's is always bound to put a smile on your face. The classic American diner serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and of course, iconic shakes. The shakes are priced at $5.99 and they have a special shake of the month every month. This is why I make it my religion to come here at least once a month. The food is absolutely delicious, and fresh. I always opt for the ruby burger and endless fries! The service is excellent, bar seating is always available and they can split checks. Bigger parties are seated upstairs in a tiki lounge and I believe there is a bar up there. Also if you join their rewards club (free) they send you all sorts of cool deals that you can't pass up! (I have endless pictures of Ruby's, but I won't post them all)
Ruby's offers classic continental fare with a fun 1950's theme. But what really earned them 5 stars is one specific visit. A few years ago one of my best friends was ready to get married, so we planned a surprise bachelorette party for her. She's not into strip clubs or anything like that, so we thought Ruby's on the end of the pier would be a nice place to go to dinner and we could hang out on the beach after. Sounds pretty low key, right? Well the manager and servers went above and beyond for us. The manager agreed to let us mail out some decorations from where we lived over 40 miles away. A nice corner booth? Maybe reserve the bar? Nope, they served other patrons on the main level and had the entire second floor reserved just for our low key bachelorette dinner! We were so surprised and had such a fun time. The waitresses were so kind and encouraged our fun by helping judge some bachelorette games we arranged and taking pictures with us. The food has always been yummy, but we'll never forget how much fun we had that night at Ruby's. Thank you!
