Mangia-mangia - Huntington Beach

Be prepared to wait around 20 to 25 minutes if you visit this restaurant on a Friday night. It's a local favorite in Huntington Beach. We didn't have a reservation, but since we arrived at 6:30, we only had to wait 25 minutes. The host and server were polite and attentive. The food was decent; my husband particularly enjoyed the complimentary garlic bread. The spaghetti bolognese was tasty, but the calamari fritti was a little chewy. Overall, it's a nice local spot, and we left with satisfied appetites.

This is the best Italian food I've ever had! Everything is so fresh and homemade, even the pasta! The Chicken Alfredo, Lasagna, and Spaghetti are outstanding! The customer service is top-notch! My family comes here every week!

On the bright side, the sauce was delicious, so I would consider ordering it again! 3. **Lasagna (3/5)**: This dish had an abundance of cheese, which felt a bit excessive for my taste. While I do love lasagna, I prefer it without being overloaded with cheese, as it can be a bit overwhelming (not sure why, haha). **Service**: The service here was outstanding! The staff checked on us frequently and were always ready to bring anything extra we needed. Plus, they offer FREE GARLIC BREAD! That's definitely a bonus for my heart because who can resist bread?

I got a late lunch with my family today. The food is so good! I'm vegan and I could eat vegan family with my mother. I asked for bread without garlic and butter and ordered the Auberginen-Besorger. For my main meal I got the gnocchi napoletana without cheese and add asparagus. The server was very friendly to our orders and super friendly. The food tasted fresh and made with love. Very recommended to come here if you want authentic Italian cuisine. We met the new owner as well as he came up and asked how we do. What a friendly and helpful man! I love it when an owner is involved in the business, it shows that they really care about customer service and customer experience.

We have been coming to Mangia for over 20 years, it is always excellent,, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
