Republic Grille - Humble

My sister and I decided to have dinner together, and I was on the lookout for some good restaurants, so we chose this place. Although the dishes I ordered were not typical for me, I was pleasantly surprised by my selections. I’ve never been a big fan of green beans, but I have to say, those were some of the best I’ve ever tasted. The fish was cooked to perfection, and the corn cake was wonderfully moist—not dry at all. My sister and I also loved the sweet butter that accompanied the meal. We got the mac and cheese bites and the spinach and artichoke dip (which isn’t featured in the photos), and I chose a strawberry limoncello drop for my drink. It was absolutely delicious! We were both very satisfied with our meal. Since it was our first visit, it turned out to be a delightful surprise!

The service at Essen was excellent. Even though some of our meals were incorrect, our waiter was so gracious and attentive that it didn't bother us. It was a busy day, after all. The restaurant has a modern vibe, with pictures of celebrities on the walls and more. The atmosphere was enjoyable and offered a refreshing change for us. Thank you! We loved it.

What a delightful surprise! The food was excellent. The tomatoes and grilled cheese were exceptional—just wow! The roasted chicken steak was good, but I found it to be a bit small given the price. The shrimp scampi, on the other hand, was fantastic! The flavors really stood out. Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience.

We ordered her famous chicken fried steak and darkened flounder, and we were not disappointed. They tasted delicious! Our waiter Evan was knowledgeable about the menu and a great server. We really enjoyed our culinary experience here.

First time trying this spot out!!! Great gluten free options tried the Carolina shrimp and grits (gluten free) chicken fried chicken (not GF) both were delicious!!! Also had to try the gluten free strawberry shortcake which was delicious always nice when there is a gluten free dessert option AND a large one too definitely need two to finish this one. Definitely will be back!!!
