フィードバックを提供するI visited this restaurant for a late lunch/early dinner on Saturday. The place was mostly empty, and we immediately noticed an unpleasant odor when we walked in. We ordered the chicken fried rice, which cost $15, but I was disappointed by the small serving size, especially for the price. We also tried the salmon, tuna, uni, and sweet shrimp. The salmon was decent, but the uni was wrapped in mushy seaweed, which should have been crisp and crunchy, resulting in an unappealing texture. Normally, sweet shrimp is our favorite, but this time it was slightly warm and the flavor was lacking. Our total bill came to $100, and unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll be returning.
We came here for lunch on a Monday afternoon, and it was definitely a 10/10 experience. I loved everything I tried, especially the Kobe Cubes and the signature nigiri.
Uptown consistently delivers an excellent experience! We savored a delightful Chardonnay, and the soft crab salad was divine — perfectly crisp crab paired with a wonderfully light dressing. We also enjoyed the combo fried rice, followed by the Godzilla and Dragon rolls. Sitting at the bar, we received fantastic service in a lovely ambiance. We'll definitely be returning!
First date spot with my now husband. We had a variety of the sushi roll options that the lovely waitress had recommended. The service for both the edamame along with sushi were fast. We were sat and out within a hour. The feel of the restaurant is definitely upscale and spacious.
Uptown is my favorite sushi spot in Houston. I'm sure there is better out there, but the quality of food, service and experience have always been top notch whenever I've visited. It's one of those places that every bite is better than the last.
