My friend's car broke down, so we ended up sitting at Remos for a while. I tried their brisket fries, and they were fantastic! I was really impressed by the generous amount of brisket they included. The staff was also very friendly. I recommend placing an order ahead of time for pickup as well.
I specifically went to try the highly recommended 3-Meat BBQ Baked Potato, as suggested by a church member. Unfortunately, they had run out of potatoes! The cashier recommended the 3-Meat Dinner/Plate with two sides instead. I chose ribs, sliced beef, links, collard greens, and cornbread (forgive me, it's been a few weeks, and I can't recall the other side). The ribs were well-seasoned and very tender. The links had a bit of spice but were tasty. The sliced beef was average, and I didn't really care for the sauce, which was provided in a separate container, so I opted not to use it. My sister ordered a sliced beef sandwich with fries and a Boudin link. However, after we paid, the kitchen staff informed the cashier that they were out of Boudin, and she promptly apologized and credited my card. My sister also ordered sweet tea, but she didn't enjoy the taste (she's a devoted tea drinker), so the cashier suggested she try the Kool-Aid Lemonade Mix, which turned out to be refreshing. I wanted to try their banana pudding as well, but they were out of that too! While the food was decent, I was very disappointed that they were out of the main dish I had come to enjoy. As we were leaving, we encountered a young man coming into the restaurant with groceries. I jokingly asked if he had brought the potatoes, and he replied, "Yes!" I expressed my disappointment about not being able to try the 3-Meat BBQ Baked Potato. He apologized and asked if the staff had offered any suggestions or substitutions. I told him how accommodating the cashier had been but also mentioned that I wasn't sure when I would give them another try. On a side note, the ladies' restroom was very clean and featured great artwork on the walls as well as a small bench. Parking: ReMo's is located in a strip center, offering several parking spaces. We parked right in front of the restaurant.
Was in the area and looking forward to trying the food here. I ordered the fish fillet 6 shrimp plate w/ pinto beans, the rib plate w/ baked beans and mac cheese for my daughter, and a slice of pound cake. Everything together was $43. The fish and shrimp were too SALTY. The pinto beans were mushy like refried beans and bland tasting. I tried my daughter’s food and the ribs were ok, the bbq sauce tasted like ketchup, the mac cheese was cheesy/wet tasting and also bland. The pound cake was good! The staff seems nice and I really wanted to like this place but it missed the mark w/ the food. Definitely not worth the price :
