Mia's Table Upper Kirby - Houston

With it's quaint atmosphere, this original family type restaurant Mia's Place in Upper Kirby, is a must go to eatery. From the food, to the service and management, we were so impressed!! The 2 individuals that really stood out and shine like the starsthat they are 1) Manager, Valerie and 2) Amber at the front counter. We were so happy to have found this place and plan tofrequent it each time we travel to Houston.

On a Saturday, they were busy, but the line went quickly! It seemed many graduates had events to celebrate. Parking lot was full, but the free garage was directly adjacent. The peppery onion ring sauce was the real star of this dish. the onion ringsthemselves were fried and seasoned well. My hamburger with Cheddar cheese was juicy the embodiment of a good burger. Thefries were crispy on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside. My husband finished off his chicken fried steak within 15minutes. The gravy was a miss for him, but luckily he asked for it on the side. We will be back! Atmosphere -lively

Eventually, a guy approached and said my food was “right there.” I explained that the server had taken my order to another table, and I no longer wanted it. To my disbelief, I then saw a group of workers sitting at a nearby table enjoying my fish/shrimp platter. Were they intentionally messing up orders to eat the leftovers? I also noticed that they took some burgers to the back, and soon after, several employees were coming in and out of the kitchen, grabbing sweet potato fries. I was stunned by their complete lack of professionalism! Finally, my order was prepared, and I made sure to double-check it to avoid any more mistakes. Sure enough, when we got back to the table, my burger had mustard on it despite requesting it without. What frustrated me even more was that not a single staff member came by to check if everything was okay or to see if my order was correct. They seemed indifferent, just sitting around and eating while ignoring the bad experience they had created for paying customers. The service was abysmal; they couldn't even manage basic customer interactions! I will definitely not be returning to this location!

The service, food, and ambiance at this restaurant are consistently excellent! Their jalapeño gravy is simply the best! I absolutely love this place!

I absolutely love everything about this place! The prices are fantastic, and the service has always been excellent!
