Mambo Seafood - Houston

The food is good here. Went 2 days in a row while I was in Houston. If I ever make it back to Houston, I will be eating here again.

Food was so good , portions were large could eat it all. Great pricing, good margaritas, nice service. Wiling return it was so satisfying.

Got the mixed grill, grilled skewered shrimp and fish fillets, with the Mambo rice and a side salad. The salad was OK. Beyond that... The dominant flavor of the fish was the burn marks from the grill. I think it started out as a 2 pound fish, but wound up a couple of little pieces of shoe leather. No seasoning DIY with tabasco and lime. Ditto for the shrimp. The rice was OK, but nothing special. I would have much rather had a decent shrimp fried rice from a Chinese place. Maybe I was expecting too much. The prices were good, but I still left wondering why I paid even that much.

Food is ok, the service its kinda bad, looks like if you don't looks like someone that gonna give them a good tip (crew of construction guys), they are not in a hurry to attend you, even if is not crowded.

One of the best fried rice made is at Mambos! The shrimp and stuffed crab platter with a bread roll is delicious and fresh.
