Gatlin's Bbq - Houston

Restaurant is fine but they did not receive the order. Claimed they shut down online orders but my order still went through so there's a problem somewhere in the system

On my trip around the world we’re in Houston, TX. I had the brisket rib plate with macaroni and fried okra as the sides. From the picture you can see that’s a huge rib. It was burnt on the outside and more fatty than meat. The sides were initially cold but they fixed them again with no problems. Customer service was superb and the atmosphere was very laid back and chilled. Being from Memphis would I come again maybe 7/10. You guys go check it out for yourselves.

This review only covers breakfast tacos I had recently. My previous visit from a couple years ago was for lunch, and I remember the brisket and sides all being amazing.For a restaurant “Now Serving Breakfast”, I shouldn’t have to wait 20 minutes for 2 breakfast tacos as the sole person in the restaurant. They were both just ok, despite one containing a slab of their brisket.This is Houston. Offer those tacos “con todo”, cook ‘em up quick, and get me out the door.Hopefully the kinks get worked out so I can update this review to represent the quality I experienced during my initial visit ages ago!

This is my favorite bbq I’ve had since I moved to Texas! The Mac n cheese and collard greens are awesome. I don’t eat red meat so it’s really hard for me to find places that actually have good smoked turkey, but this place definitely has it! The portions are great, the sauce is good, and the service is always friendly. I take anyone who comes to visit me in Texas here!

Don't bother placing a catering order online. The system doesn't work and they don't get the order. You have to call and speak to someone. They only take your phone number and then call you back in a few hours. I asked for specific meats to cater our office and they didn't have much experience with helping you place a catering order. I went with another quote I received from another BBQ company and they provided all the experience and professionalism I was looking for. Shop around.
