Don Carlos Mexican Restaurant - Houston

Went with my lady for lunch. Good lunch specials. Pretty darn good margaritas as well.

I attended a special event in this restaurant. I liked it.

This post was long overdue because Don Carlos is one of my longtime favorite Mexican Restaurants located where I grew up. The food is usually on point and the margaritas are so good! I had the grilled beef fajitadilla with rice and beans. Friends had the flautas, grilled fajitas, fish tacos, menudo and nachos. We ate well! This restaurant holds many food memories. It’s the place you go to before or after church, shopping, studying and simply showing up for life. It’s the perfect friend hangout. Our group has our special table and the staff knows many of us. Food and ambiance is always excellent.. M-F 11am-3pm is lunch specials and they give you free cheese for the table during those hours.. Lunch special have great options at very affordable prices.. I always have my son and daughters birthday dinners here.. The waitresses and staff are on point and very fast..

The Service is great. Food and atmosphere could be a little better. All the employees and wait staff are very friendly.
