Denny's - Houston

This place has amazing waiters. I look forward to getting helped by Maria. They always make me feel welcomed no matter what time of the day.

We went after work for dinner, I ordered a steak dinner with mash potatoes with what was suppose to be white gravy.and onion rings. Steak was suppose to be med-rare, (it was not) but I chose not to send ot back. It was still delicious, onion rings were really good, I didn 't eat the mash. My honey shared his roasted potatoes those were delicious. We had to ask for steak knives, because we were given butter knives...lol sorry I had to laugh again. We didn 't get any napkins, I felt bad for our server, she had a huge section by herself and I saw the manager not showing any kind of support, he just went to what looked like the office.This was Friday between 4pm-6pm. I made sure she got her tip by handing it to her personally and said thank you.

One star is way to much for this so call restaurant and their management team. The three men that were there on Sunday morning claiming to be managers shouldn't be allowed to have any contact with customers.Sunday morning was busy as expected but we were seated within a few minutes of being there. After the waitress finally took our order it took a out 15 minutes to get our drinks brough to us by a bus person not the waitress. After waiting for 45 minutes for our meal, I flagged down a so call manager that said he would check on our order. He went to the kitchen but never came back. 10 minutes later I flag down a second manager that went to the kitchen to check. Close to 10 minutes later the waitress comes with the food that I ordered but not my wife's food. My sandwich ans fries were cold and nasty. After seeing the second manager that by now was acting rude to my wife and I for complaining I asked about her food. He never came back to is. I asked for the check wich I should have just walked out without paying. I complained to the third manager when the second manager came up arguing and blaming my wife and I for the horrible service.This is definitely not the service or the food that I expected from a Dennys restaurant. The three managers should be sent to a customer service class if not fired.

I know going to denny's could be a mixed bag but I had a good experience at this one. It was pretty busy during this morning that I went but I was able to get a seat. The first server who greeted me, talked to me in spanish. I don't speak spanish so I was almost passed on the english speaking server (no big deal). She was awesome! My order was taken promptly and the food was delicious! I could see this denny's being in a somewhat sketchy area but if I'm around there and want a good breakfast, I'll be back!
