Hunan Garden - Houghton

No Chinese restaurant can compare; their crab rangoons are the most addictive treat on the planet!

I hadn't visited Hunan Garden Restaurant in about three or four years, and I was really looking forward to enjoying some Chinese food. So, I made the trip to check out their lunch menu. Unfortunately, what I had was quite disappointing and underwhelming. The baked rice lacked flavor, the amount of sweet ingredients was minimal and overcooked, and the sauce was overly heavy and sweet. Overall, I was neither impressed nor satisfied with the mediocre meal. Houghton really needs more options for Chinese cuisine! I don’t plan to return anytime soon.

Fresh and quickly prepared food with very friendly staff. This is one of our favorites, especially the crab rangoon!

The fried rice lacked flavor, and the vegetables in the entree were scarce and overcooked. The sauce was overly heavy and sweet. Overall, I found the food to be very mediocre and was left unimpressed and unsatisfied. Houghton really needs more Chinese food options! I don’t plan on returning anytime soon.
