A very modern and good restaurant of Vietnamese cuisine! The food was delicious and meet our expectations. We wanted to try French Dip and it was so good, the baguette was aromatic and crispy, and the meat melt in your mouth. And their pho 75 broth for dipping was so rich in taste. The crispy spring rolls was tasty as well, they were stuffed with delicious pork and went well with the sour sauce. The only disadvantage of the service that we felt was that we were not able to call them because they do not respond. We were held up by the traffic, and it was impossible to let them know that we were running late. Overall, the restaurant boasts an excellent variety of dishes. On our second visit, we had a delightful experience. Although hot coffee wasn't on the menu, they accommodated my request and brought a pot to the table. The French Dip was especially delightful, featuring a flavorful broth perfect for sandwich dipping, and the pate toasts offered a delicious breakfast option too.
Love this place. Just wished they didn’t play Top 40 music…
Sensational pho and shaking beef. The Burmese tea leaf salad was great but very hard green papaya. Pho noodle was so silky and the broth not too peppery or salty. Huge portion. Brisket was better than the steak. Only downside we had was being put on a bar seating when there were enough tables. We assume this is to do with the distribution of tips to staff, which, as a European, is confusing and unnecessary. A must try if you're visiting Honolulu as you will give up on the queue at their KCC stand.
We had a marvelous blow out birthday dinner here! I have to begin by saying that was really the most outstanding service we've ever experienced. The staff are so informative and kindly in explaining the components of each fish, tailoring the order in which food arrives to your preference, and other dietary/special requests. We got complimentary glasses of champagne for my partner's birthday and a lovely birthday message on our dessert. The food we got was delicious. The fusion that is executed here is really well done- playful and interesting in exploring local produce and meats but still honoring the original dishes. In particular we loved the Vietnamese flan with spicy lilikoi granite, the Molokai venison tartare, Burmese tea salad, Hokkaido scallops, and my whiskey sour. The only critiques are that the Hokkaido scallops were very tough (perhaps overcooked? and the fusion Bánh xèo was not to my personal liking (I enjoy more traditional versions more but I'm really looking forward to coming here again! Plenty of menu items change throughout the year and there's lots to try next time. Cheers! :
