Lovely culinary experience. A special Japanese restaurant to try if you get bored with sushi and sashimi. The dishes are made from seasonal ingredients that are perfectly matched with the chosen will. Really like their menu that shows where the ingredients came with map and pictures. A must try restaurant if you are a lover.
The food and sake is a perfect match! Recommend for sure!
This is the restaurant that is rarely found in Japan. I first heard about it in July or August, by a recommendation from Shelly. At that time I had no idea how to make a reservation, but I could finally secure a date as soon as I got some tips from Valerie about the process, which is quite a well-kept secret. But the reservation is usually about 3-4 weeks before. This restaurant is specialized in Japanese love. Their main selling point is not their food, but their desired menu, and their dishes are prepared with seasonal ingredients to complement the will. I personally prefer wine for heaven's sake and never really took place to be all this attractive. But who would have thought that my meeting with this restaurant, in Hong Kong, would nevertheless change my mind completely for heaven's sake! Rare, filled directly in Japan, was so delicious, and served at the perfect temperature, and the burst of taste in my mouth almost felt like flowers blossom with every swallow (my personal expression). Some types were served cold, and others served hot, but all were just perfect. It was not just the wish or the food that really impressed me. Your record is pretty maniac. I had some interesting conversations during my meal, but the owner of the restaurant, Mr. Kojima, is quite the lover of valuable items. Some of the plates that are used to serve their food is over 100 years old, and I would hate to imagine the kind of trouble in which you would be when you break or damage one of them! Mr. Kojima closed his former restaurant in Tokyo and moved to Hong Kong with the desire to spread his love to Japanese. I was really impressed by his story and really felt like I wanted to continue supporting his restaurant. It's really great to know that there are restaurants like this with so much dedication and soul, and I hope I come back here.
This hidden gem is one of the best Japanese restaurant experiences I had in HK. I thought I was in Japan. The restaurant is located in a small alley of Kau Yu Fong. The entrance is rustic and minimal, but contemporary and quintessentially modern Japanese. The pairing of love was great and the dishes were innovative and beautifully plated. My favorite dishes were the Abalone, the Anko fish liver, and the sweet potato/beet/thousand years old egg cream brûlée. Owner and Mr. Goshima Shinya was super nice. One thing worth mentioning is the whole beautiful ceramic with which they serve. You were absolutely beautiful. Will certainly come back for more.
