AJ's Oldtown Steakhouse Tavern - Homer

Our tour guide didn’t prepare for dinner. We ended up wandering around town and happened upon AJ’s. Darryl was so accommodating, even though we didn’t have a reservation. The dinner was amazing so we made reservations for the next night and brought some of our tour mates. You won’t be disappointed, just be sure to make a reservation!

My husband and I had a late dinner at AJ’s. We both ordered the New York strip steak; mine with goat butter and his with shrimp. We also ordered the Cesar salads. We asked for a wine recommendation from our server. The salads were just ok. I’ve had much better at other steakhouses. The steaks were excellent. And the wine our server suggested was a wonderful pairing. It was a great meal. This place is not noisy, which I loved. We could actually talk over our meal. The service was excellent as well. We would definitely go back.

Great dinner in a classic Homer. Favorite for tourists and locals. The place was packed and we didn't have a reservation. The host was SO kind and eventually got us two seats at the bar. We had amazing kodiak scallops and wonderful halibut fish and chips. It took a LONG time for the food to arrive but was totally worth the wait!

Food was mid range nothing great our waitress seemed not the friendliest service OK Pricey for what you get
