Admittedly because the stone was occupied and on recommendation we wanted to take our dinner here. The Bistro Forster is nice and welcoming, to the street, also with outdoor area. The staff is friendly and accommodating and beer also from the barrel. The medallions from the straw pig were tasty as well as well and correctly fried and with the 2 potato chicks an extensive portion! As a towner we saw the carving with creamy mushroom sauce here joyfully, but were unfortunately disappointed: the croquettes were as expected, but the 2 carving pieces with more panade than the meat thickness of no more than about 3/4mm. The sauce was creamy but overloaded with mushrooms and the dish hardly seasoned. Too bad. A tip: the salad in the small peels had a good spice, but was difficult to eat, as the green proportions were huge in proportion. The restaurant in the main house and the beer garden we have not been able to visit, so the assessment here refers only to the Forster Bistro!

Since 2005 I have been a regular regular guest at Hotel Victoria with my family and friends. At our wedding in April 2014 as well as at all subsequent birthdays, the outside circle of friends from Hessen is still very happy to attend both the hotel and the Bistro. In February 2022 we spent the afternoon of memory of my late husband in our room Lippe, in November 2022 the wedding celebration of my daughter and my son-in-law takes place. On such occasions I also stayed at the hotel, as on the day after the celebrations we still have breakfast with our outside guests before they go home. I am always happy with the room and the really rich breakfast! As you can think, we try the menus completely. : Whether in the beer garden, in the bistro or in the restaurant: The food is always top-class because the hotel has a fantastic, creative team that always gives its best. Just like the employees in the service. Hygiene and cleanliness are written large, both in the hotel and in the guest area. I strongly recommend Hotel Victoria.

Very nice hotel, very good sleep. Breakfast excellent. Very nice operator! Excellent as start for the Ems cycle path! Train!

Stayed at the hotel last year and were very happy with breakfast. This time we wanted to eat something after arriving in Hövelhof. For a beer with friends or a glass of wine very original and nice bistro, the food was unfortunately a catastrophe. My wife and I had both boiled pasta, the fresh seedlings were mixed with a tasteless pampe, my tomato paste sauce was a ready mix in style Asia sweet-sour. Very bad!

Very clean hotel with friendly service staff, great pub and restaurant, highly recommended!
