Shaka Kitchen - Hoboken

Used to love this place. Was always expensive $14.75 with tax just for takeout). Now they've jacked prices to $15.50 *before* tax and charge EXTRA $2-3 just for meat protein)! Are you kidding me!?? This is not an NYC Martini, dude, it's Hoboken takeout. Delicious, but I won't be going to Shaka Bowl anymore. Not going broke spending $20 for lunch for one meal...especially after paying to park anywhere nearby. Not worth it. Sorry

Poke was great even when delivered! Great for a filling meal that tastes healthy. Would recommend to anyone that needs a smoothie and grain or poke bowl simultaneously.

I live close to the location so started to go here this summer for the shrimp ceviche special. It was a little over 13 dollars which I thought was fair. I just ordered a salad and with chicken it was almost 18 dollars, if I wanted a bowl with tuna it would have been over 20 dollars. I like the food but the price point is high for pick up and I wish they still offered the snack option. I will probably go elsewhere with prices this high.

I’ve been here a few times. The last time I was kind of confused as to why my bill was a bit pricey. Their description is a bit misleading. The description says choice of protein for a price and when you go to pay there’s an up charge on the protein. I recently inquired about it with 2 employees and both confirmed that any protein would be additional. Maybe next time, you might want to advertise the price correctly. Overall very fresh ingredients just a bit disappointed with the miscommunication on their menus.

I absolutely love Shaka Kitchen! The restaurant is spotless, and the fruit always tastes incredibly fresh. I highly recommend trying the Big Island bowl and the Shaka bowl – they are both fantastic!
