フィードバックを提供するI visited Jack Co due to the Hudson Restaurant Week promotion they were offering 1 appetizer, 1 entree, and 1 small dessert for $35/person. While the food was indeed tasty, the promotion was a scam. Opting for this deal instead of choosing items a la carte wound up saving us at most $1 3. The promotion was just a ploy to get you to the restaurant which was merely more than a bar. The overall experience was not that bad, but definitely not worth going back for more than drinks.
Went here for a NYE's early dinner around 7pm. It was good to have a reservation this particular night as it seemed to get pretty packed. We were seated promptly, though the high top tables we were escorted to didn't provide the most comfortable seating options. The chair itself is a little hard to sit on and with barely a back on it, you're almost sitting on just a stool. My wife ordered the Gnocchi and I ordered the Jalepeno Ribs. She commented that the Gnocchi was well executed but a bit salty and my ribs were tasty, with a good BBQ Sauce. Overall, not a bad experience but nothing to write home about either. We'll give it another shot on a less popular night. We enjoy this restaurant's sister place, Jack's Cabin, in the Southwest part of Hoboken so it's worth another look.
Due to a party at the restaurant it took over 30 minutes to get our order. Also, we were moved from the outside to the bar area and no one was told we had moved so that caused an issue with trying to get our food. The owner was nice and offered us a free drink.
There are sooooo many great and unique restaurants in Hoboken. This was not one of them. I rarely have a bad experience at a restaurant because of ambiance but my friends and I sat outside and this restaurant smelled so bad!! They must not have realized there was a sewage smell problem when they chose that location. But inside the music was so loud and the room was so cold, I'm not sure I could have heard my friend. Ok, for the actual restaurant itself, I think it was a typical menu. Nothing amazing or crazy or unique that makes me want to go back. It's just average. Definitely not going to be on top of mind when recommending good/amazing restaurants in the are.
We went there for restaurant week. The service was great. They were out of a ciuple things...can't recall details. The place is nice and tables are big so you don't feel cramped. My meal was great. Curried cauliflower was excellent! The burger was very good. My friends who ordered the salad and roasted chicken liked the salad but the chicken not so much. The portion was small and taste was nothing special. Dessert was great. The coctails were excellent. Would come back to hangout at the bar next time.
