Federal Bake Shop - Hixson

This place is a hidden gem in Hixson. Their cakes are the standard we measure bake shops in other cities. Highly recommend anyone with a sweet tooth stop in for a fresh piece or cake, cookie, cupcake, or Danish.

Federal Bakery has been around for a long time and once you taste their desserts, you will know why! Almond flavored icing! It has a unique flavor that is one of a kind. Delish! Plus they have the nicest employees. Deborah is so helpful and always take good care of us.If you can't get to the store, Federal Bakery can be found in the food court at the medical mall at Erlanger and on the weekend at The Chattanooga Market.The only suggestion I have is they need to offer gluten free items.

2 tier wedding cake. Was just to have white flowers flowing downs the side. It looked like a birthday cake, nothing close to a professional wedding cake. The flavor was supposed to be rich vanilla, it was almond. For pictures we had to take the side that was blank. Paid way to much for this. My daughter was very disappointed in the appearance.

The absolute best cakes, cupcakes, petit fours I have ever experienced. I have to stop and get some every time I am in the area. I do buy enough to share with Family when I do at least...

: It's ok let's support local. But I think more oil than butter is used. Not even buttercream, some hard as a rock cookies. The $6.50 ginger cookie *gasp* has ginger, so it was kinda legit. I wouldnt trust any icing from this place tho. It's seems oily.
