A 1 Pizza - Hinsdale

We came back 25 minutes later, but when I asked, the hostess said my order wasn’t ready yet. I witnessed an employee come in and get reprimanded for taking too long, and he jokingly remarked that he was “cooler than the work structure.” Ten more minutes passed, and I saw several other orders go out, yet mine was still missing. The hostess went back to the kitchen to check on my pizza and I overheard an argument. I distinctly heard someone say, “Well, I didn’t make it, and I don’t give a damn about him. He’ll just have to wait while it cooks.” After that, the hostess said my pizza was in the oven and would be done in five minutes, but another 15 minutes went by before my order finally came out—50 minutes in total. When it arrived, I was asked if I had only ordered one pizza, and I wasn’t offered any form of compensation or even an apology for the excessive wait. It felt incredibly disrespectful to me, my wife, and my child, especially given the dismissive attitude I witnessed from the kitchen staff. It saddens me to write this review since A1 used to be my favorite family restaurant in Hinsdale and Brattleboro. If you value respect and family, I strongly advise against ordering from A1 Pizza in Hinsdale, NH.

The food is exceptional now! My wife and I almost exclusively order from them when we're in the mood for pizza. The only downside for me is that they don’t offer delivery yet. What's up with that?

I don't appreciate it when people who come in after me receive their food before I do. On November 14, 2019, we waited an hour and 15 minutes for our meal, and it was cold when it arrived. The girl with glasses didn’t seem to care. We even had to go up and get our own takeout boxes. When we were leaving, she rudely told us that we could just leave our trash and dishes there because she would take care of it. I used to come here every week, but during the last three visits, we waited a long time, and the food was cold each time.

Similar to the one in Winchester, this place is not worth your time. The food is terrible and overpriced. The greasy pizza is among the worst I've ever had. Save yourself the trouble and just buy a frozen pizza instead; you'll be much better off.

The food here is fantastic, especially the steak and cheese grinders! The owner, who handles the orders, has a very energetic personality. However, if you’re someone who gets easily offended, this might not be the best spot for you.
