Ray's Cafe - Hilton Head Island

Upon entering, you will be greeted with the sweet aroma of homecooked food, the banter of the workers, and the feeling like you just stepped into grandma's house for a meal. A place where you can truly disconnect from reality and step into a simpler time where love among people is commonplace. Between the innovative lack of dishes and the simplicity of the decor, you will find yourself smiling from ear to ear. Thank you, Ray's, for making leaving this island a little more tasty, delightful, and memorable.

The food was classic comfort fare, and the service was excellent. Dishes arrived quickly and were served hot. The only downside to this restaurant is that it could use a thorough cleaning throughout.

We rode our bikes to Ray's Cafe for breakfast with a women's group, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, and the café had a charming and personal atmosphere.

While the food is served on paper plates and drinks come in styrofoam cups, that didn't detract from the overall quality of the meal. However, I would recommend skipping the pink lemonade, as it didn’t seem freshly made. The restaurant is a bit tucked away, so it's a good idea to use GPS if you’re unfamiliar with the area. There’s plenty of seating available, and it wasn’t busy when we arrived just after the lunch rush. Plus, they serve breakfast all day. Overall, the service was good too!

Excellent Mexican breakfast. I had the chilaquiles with carne asada in a rojo sauce! And dont worry, they have eggs and bacon if thats your thing. Love this place!
