Tetsumen Ramen - Hilo

I really enjoyed the vegan ramen at this restaurant. It's the best I've had since my time in Japan. The curry flavor was a nice added bonus.

Testsumen is likely the most authentic ramen spot in Hilo, but they only have one vegan ramen option available. You can choose to have the vegan ramen with either tofu/seaweed broth or add curry for extra flavor. The vegan spam option is surprisingly unique. I decided to add extra veggies to my bowl for an additional $4, bringing the total price to around $18. While it may be a bit pricier than other ramen spots in town, the atmosphere at Testsumen is pleasant. Keep in mind that it tends to get quite busy after 6 pm, so plan your visit accordingly.

I have tried many ramen places in Hilo, but this one stands out as the best by far. The bowls are highly customizable, although there are limited options for vegetarians and vegans due to the pork-heavy menu. This review was updated on June 8th, 2022.

Delicious rams with decent part! yummy broth! remember tokio, japan! do not wait for 2 clock. warm and friendly service! if you want a place to put and relax with air conditioning, choose this restaurant.

I'd give this place a little 10 stars if I could. eating is so authentic and delicious. my favorite restaurant on the whole island brings down. the katsudon and tonkatsu ajitama rays are my favorites. you know how to ram at most places you after eating so sleepy that never happens here. the quality is top notch, the service is also great.
