El Restaurante Ixtapa is a great place for my wife and I to enjoy a dinner together. The food was very delicious and fresh. Comfort food, yet not heavy in the stomach. It is located on an out of the way side road where you can get away from the hassle of life. I would recommend to anyone going to Hillsborough.
This is off the beaten path, but well worth the visit. We're both vegetarian, and when the waitress heard that she recommended a vegetarian tamale a big corn husk stuffed with cornmeal, jalapenos, cheese, squash, tomatoes, and onions that was just fantastic!! Not to even mention the addictive deep fried tortilla chips!!
