HBG is the perfect hang out spot! The bar has been entirely updated inside and it’s GORGEOUS! The staff is attentive and so friendly. The drinks are cold and tasty, and their burgers and steak are to die for! There are plenty of other activities for people to do, granted some of the options are limited due to COVID. They have 6 video lottery machines, 3 pinball machines, and 2 pool tables. When they are allowed to have karaoke again, it’s definitely something you won’t want to miss! They have the best karaoke in Washington County and it is a blast! Truly a great time for singers and guests. This bar has been the hangout spot for me and my friends for the past 3 years and it’s been a joy watching it evolve over the years. If you’re looking for a fun hangout spot with great food, music, atmosphere, and staff... Hillsboro Bar Grill is the place for you!!

They're the quicker food coming out. We're going to the Steak dinner and we're gonna get out. For breakfast there were about 45 minutes. Only about 10 people aren't sure, but other times it was fast so they didn't knock for it.

First of let's say this is definitely a stereotypical bar. Locals are all known by name. The staff is amazingly friendly and respectful. They are also responsible, carding people on a regular basis. No waiting for service they are responsive and not over bearing. I have eaten here on multiple occasions during this business trip and 4 times I have gotten the ribeye. Let's start off with the cut. It's 160z of well balanced fat to meat content. All 4 times it has been cooked to absolute perfection. Med rare as I desired. And by 2 different cooks. Got the Tri-tip sandwich another time which was unreal. If you're in the Hillsboro area this is a definite not miss location for a great steak, great beer, good times and good music. Of the 2 pool tables use the one closest to the bar the other is warped.

Updating 7/29/22- y'all gotta get in here for breakfast! All of their food is great here but these breakfast plates and prices are unbeatable! Paige is the best cook ever and so friendly too. Can't believe this giant Biscuits and gravy plate is only $9!!! Jojee is THE BEST bartender I've ever come across. Time and time again she takes care of me wonderfully. Always attentive and quick with her service, no matter how busy the bar is. Love the atmosphere and friendliness here at HBG ?

Decided to venture out of Portland for the day and check out Downtown Hillsboro. Unbeknownst to me it was art celebration weekend and it was busy. Both on the street and inside this Bar and Grill. Not sure this Sunday crew was prepared for the uptick in business but they held it together the best they could and I appreciate that. On to the food, pretty simple bar menu as to be expected and more than fair pricing. They even have tomahawk steaks dry-aged in-house if you?re into a 45-47 ounce Flintstone Steak. I ordered the Tri-Tip sandwich special, which was served what I would consider southwestern style, topped with pico and hatch chiles. My hesitation was that the sandwich is served on a pub roll, my experience with this particular bun is that they get soggy if it sits too long, or if the ingredients are too wet. They grilled the bread on the inside and out and that helped keep the sogginess down tremendously. Tri-tip was tender as it could be, and the toppings were perfectly proportionate. The fries I had to order as extra, were mediocre at best. They were a battered fry and they are never good to me even when fresh out of the fryer, but again that?s my opinion on their fries. If I find myself in downtown Hillsboro again I would give this place a second chance with no problems. Friendly staff even when SHTF. I promise the photo below is a sandwich and not a hot dog.
