フィードバックを提供するGame Train is beautifully decorated with an atmosphere that makes you want to settle in and just have fun. They have so many family friendly games. My 8 10 year olds loved getting to sample from their 600 games. The food was really good and pricing is reasonable for getting to settle in and take a table for 2.5 hours. Everyone was so friendly and friendly we will be back for sure!
Went in for Free RPG Day and like too many other stores the swag for Free RPG Day was behind a pay wall, which is code for people buying table time food at Game Train USA. Definitely not the intention of Free RPG Day, which is sad as I really want a FLGS after not having one for some time.Note to the owners, if you want to welcome people in via Free RPG Day maybe be more welcoming and generous. That is a great program to build up goodwill and bring people in.It is not all bad, despite the above off putting item. I would have given it a solid four stars as I think they get most things right. They have a full bar, which is a welcome addition to the gaming scene. They serve real food, which is better than any other gaming hangout in town. They have a lot going on. Games, painting and so on.Great location, which used to be a long suffering Vietnamese-Thai-Chinese restaurant. Easy to get to.The décor is on point and very well done in a steampunk style. There are many options for eating and playing. From a train car loaded with tables and faux scenery rolling by to private rooms.Plenty of games on hand to play during your visit. This is a gaming destination, but what it is not is a gaming store. The RPG side of their microscopic store front is sparse. There is some Warhammer 40k in a small area. A teeny tiny bit of MTG. Their board game area is okay, but tilts towards casual pick up and play. Will I be back? Maybe, maybe not. I like the idea of a place to go to paint and drink a beer or two. But I also like good first impressions and that was lacking. There will always be more beer, but not first impressions.Parking: Plenty of parking, thought he store itself is a little hidden and it may not be obvious where to park.
My colleagues and I had a wonderful time at Game Train! We went there for our team retreat on a Thursday afternoon, played two games, and sampled a variety of entrees and drinks. The service was excellent, the food was tasty, and the selection of games was extensive (in the best way possible!). The train theme added a fun and unexpected twist to the experience!
The food is decent, but once again, the prices are quite shocking given both the portion sizes and quality. The same applies to the drinks. If you’re looking to dine and drink, be prepared for club-level prices for a fast-casual experience. The staff, however, are incredible. They are knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly, providing prompt and kind service—Game Train has a great team. The ambiance is pleasant, with an open space for larger groups and smaller booths equipped with screens that show train-themed footage. This is part of Game Train’s gimmick, but it feels like they could lean into the theme more. You request service by lifting a railway bar, which is a cute touch and fits the theme, but it’s a small tabletop feature that can get in the way and easily topple over. Overall, it’s definitely worth at least one visit to experience it for yourself! I hope they further embrace the theme and reconsider the menu. If they’re going to serve chicken fingers and tater tots, they shouldn’t be so pricey and served in small portions. They should either go all in with gourmet options or introduce a value menu.
This place is so cool. Love the concept! Celebrated a birthday in one of the train rooms. This room is designed to simulate riding on a train while enjoying yummy food, great cocktails, and playing board games. Will definitely return!Kid-friendliness: Great selection of games for all ages.
