The check also says Highlander Mountain House . Just note the location is at 3rd and Main across from the Ace Hardware. We ate inside on an otherwise lovely recent afternoon. The smallish outside eating area was full. We didn 't mind as the atmosphere inside was delightful. The restaurant (what ever its name was recently remodeled and is attached to the Highlander Mountain House. (I think.... The menu was very short we were there for lunch but interesting none the less. I ordered the turkey club which arrived looking quite different from what I expected! It was turkey avocados sliced apple (delicious served on what I guessed was a brioche bun. It was very tasty and different. I 'd describe the brioche as being a bit chewy making eating somewhat messy. But I really didn 't mind. Pricing and service were both fine. We plan to return for dinner sometime soon.
Stopped in for an off season, winter visit to Highlands. The staff is super friendly and helpful but this place is in dire need of a facelift, well...a renovation if the truth be told. It is charming and in a great location. The bed was super comfy. But It is also old and tattered, particularly the bathrooms. We didn’t pay a fortune so we did get our money’s worth. But today’s travelers will expect a bit more. I hope this place thrives to give that other stuffy hotel down the street a run for its money.
The owners are amazing. Food is incredible. Beautiful in the fall. Put it on your list to visit.
Love this Historic Inn with all modern amenities. The food is amazing and the server staff is fabulous.
Beautiful day, busy patio. Waited 20 mins for a table and made sure to order as soon as we sat down. Still took another 15 min for a salad, which was good. Service was polite. Worst part was dozens of yellow jackets all over tables, patio area. We killed four without getting stung and fought off another 12. Not necessarily a management problem, but definitely an annoyance.
