Cuca's Mexican Food - Highland

Always pleasant food. I think her Chile Rellano Burrito is the best. I also enjoy her combo Burrito, Chile Verde and Chicken Taco.

The first time over here. The food was great. Clean place. Marisol is friendly with a smile on her face (working in the kitchen). They served a lot of food for your order. Your well drinks has a limit of two refills. I'll come back and dive back in here.

Some of the best and most forgettable food around. We moved to the Highland area around the start of Covid and was told about this place from a family member. He raved about the burritos so once we were settled, we swing by to give it a try. Now, I usually will review restaurants after eating there once. I'll order a lot of food and give the menu a good once over and take plenty of pictures. I've been to Cuca's about 4-5 times now and each time I tell myself I'm going to take pictures and do a review, but it doesn't end up happening. I had to make myself write this. I think partly because I haven't eaten at the restaurant and take out just doesn't make for great pictures, but here we go anyway. Cuca's is a rock solid restaurant that makes some of the best burritos and enchiladas I have ever had. Cuca's is also a place that makes very forgettable food and often forgets items when picking items up through the drive through window. It's a frustrating place for me because their chorizo burrito, enchiladas, taquito burritos and huevos rancheros are crazy good! But some of the other items we've had are so plain. The first time I ate there i was very unimpressed. I almost gave it 2 stars. We tried it again for breakfast and I would've given it 5 stars. Next time would've been 4 stars. So consistency is an issue with me here. I know this review is all over the place, but in a nutshell this place is hard to really rate. Some of their food is great but some of their food is just ok. The staff always seems nice and the food always seems very fresh and made to order. It just surprises me that there are still things on the menu that just seem bland. If your in the area and looking for fast, casual Mexican food and outstanding burritos, this is the place for you. If your looking for anything more than that, you might look elsewhere. This is a typical neighborhood place that keeps it real and does what it does well; and does it really well. Just keep your expectations in check and understand there will be visits that don't hit the spot. I think once your able to get past that, Cuca's is a really great place to eat.

It?s been a long time since we ate here. I was a bit surprised when the place was empty. It?s Monday night and I wasn?t surprised about the food we ordered. It was great. We didn?t have to wait long before it was delivered to our table. Hot and delicious.

Cuca's to me is a quick fix to a busy day and your just too tired to cook. There food is good. I havent tried much there but it's flavorful and a well served Mexican dinner. I ordered their chicken enchiladas and they ask how many enchiladas do you want comes with rice and beans. The girls are nice but service is a little slow. I tried there French fries once as an added side. They were cold and seemed old, like they had been sitting for a while. But I did enjoy their chicken enchilada plater. Not an everyday thing but a nice change of pace.
