The Lochy - Highland

Two wet hikers in search of a dry spot, a drink, and a meal found refuge at The Lochy. Despite being short-staffed, they welcomed us with open arms and served us beer, soup, fries, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. As weary travelers who recently completed the West Highland Way in 5 days for our honeymoon, we were met with nothing but smiles.

I was looking forward to enjoying this restaurant, but the food was just average. The Cajun chicken burger was a plain chicken breast with a sprinkle of Cajun seasoning added. The beef burger lacked flavor and the crab cakes were disappointing, being overworked and deep fried. The service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was lively and pleasant.

My family is on a trip across the Highlands, and dinner here was the perfect kick off for the trip. Food was hearty and filling!
