What can I say service was fantastic, the food was fantastic and the company was fantastic too. If you’re looking to book a Christmas get together then this is the place to go. A 3 course meal for under £22. The price did not reflect the quality of the food. It’s one of the nicest meals I’ve had in a while.

We have visited before a few years ago. Went back because we had a good experience. At first things were going ok, but 45 mins after ordering we had not been served, where other who had come in after were getting their food so went and asked what was happening, They had failed to deliver our food it had been cooked but now my gammon was cold, so they microwaved it and served it, mushrooms shrivelled up, gammon was now a biscuit. I called them over so they quickly apologised and cooked another gammon, by which time my wife had finished her food. The manager came over and apologised and decided to refund in full both our meals. Once cooked correctly the food was good hence my score. Would we go there again, yes we would but would be keeping a check on the service time. As a note we did not ask for a refund.

We come here quite often. Love it. Relaxed lovely food. Today just 2 of us. Before there has been 14 of us and in January the 14 of us here again for 2 birthdays. Just love it thank you

The Railway gave Buxton Ambulance Station, free Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day! They were absolutely delicious. The staff were so welcoming in our uniform even though they were so busy with the bookings they had to deal with themselves. It was a very kind gesture to do for emergency workers on Christmas Day. We really appreciate it, it gave us a real boost for the afternoon. Thank you sooo much!

October 2023 Oh dear! My wife and I had a Sunday carvery 2 weeks ago and I did heap praise on the food and service! But today 29th October it it was awful, the before was ridiculously tough, the cabbage was undercooked and gravy was like brown water! We did complain and the manager did replace the beef with looked like brown tissue paper and tasteless and he did apologise, we had 3 different members of staff asking us was everything alright NO was the reply and all we received was sorry There was no offer of a replacement meal! So after this negative visit we will not be returning! What a waste of £28. Hero to Zero!
