Mellow Mushroom - Hickory

I have been a fan of Mellow Mushroom since I first visited their Asheville location twenty years ago. I was thrilled when they opened locations in Winston-Salem and now in Hickory. Their specialty pizzas are not your average chain pizza options. The portion sizes are generous, and I have always loved their Cosmic Karma pizza. The melted cheese on every slice is a delicious treat. They also have a rotating and impressive beer menu.

I don't usually get excited about eating at The Mushroom, as I've had both good and bad experiences in the past. However, this particular location is the best one I've ever been to! The food was delicious, the staff was attentive and really focused on making sure we had a great dining experience. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

Excellent! This restaurant is newly opened (I'm not local) but it appears to be in great condition. The place is tidy and the bathrooms are spotless. The food was delicious! The staff is trendy and friendly. I definitely recommend this place.

Kitchen was happy to accommodate for food allergies. Food was delicious. Our waitress was sweet and made sure to ask about modifiers.

I loved the pizza and I loved the atmosphere. It’s such a neat place for young people and professionals to just hang out and eat good food. It was my first time eating mellow mushroom as we don’t have that chain where I’m originally from but I’m glad I gave it a shot and I will definitely be coming back. Shout out to my first time waitress, Jenna!
