Applebee's Grill - Hialeah

I hate making this so low but come on. The rice was not soft on the Southwest Chicken Bowl and there was way too much lettuce. The worst part was the Oriental Grilled Chicken Salad Wrap simply because everything that was in it I felt it should have been wrapped way tighter. I wanted to eat my wrap not have it fall apart as im picking it up and after every bite. The majority of my wrap was eaten off the container it came in due to how loose it was. The food was also cold. I felt like maybe they were busy tonight and this was rushed.

Quesadilla burger was extremely messy, fell apart as soon as you picked it up due to how soggy the tortilla is. would not recommend as a to-go order. Quesadilla was also awfully burnt so it was better off eating without a “bun” . Lettuce was also a bit discolored? You can tell it tastes better when freshly served and not burnt lol. Fries were seasoned well though and packaged separately.

This Applebee's has a fun atmosphere. I met some family friends here and we had a nice time. Our server was excellent. She always seemed to be there when we needed something. I ordered the top sirloin. It tasted pretty good. The mashed potatoes were very tasty. The salad was good. My friend liked the Cajun steak a lot. My other friend ate the chicken sandwich but said it was dry. The star of the show was the dessert. This is excellent. The cake came out warm and had a great flavor. The ice cream was good too and I am not a huge fan of vanilla. Over all, a nice place to go for a casual meal.

Food quality was higher than expected. I hadn't been to an Applebee's in decades but this one was actually quite good. Service can be spotty but it should be sufficient and friendly. They have changed the menu to include a vegetarian option (impossible burger) that I enjoyed. My parents had regular burgers and a chicken sandwich and they had no complaints as well. Plenty of parking at this location and they do offer inside as well as outside dining. They do have quite a large menu and they have all sorts of drink specials going on. It's casual comfort food that will hit the spot.

The atmosphere was great, the service was hectic and casual but she got all our orders exactly (even with a lot of changes) and she was always smiling. The drinks were a bit watered down, but I guess when you order a Tipsy Leprechaun that is to be expected. It was mostly filled with families and some loud kids, and not a great hang out for young adults, but the food was decent for a casual eatery. Try the onion rings. I 'm thinking the would be great drunk food. But not with that Tipsy Leprechaun.
