The Jolly Sailor - Heybridge

We came along to an amazing Event this Sunday with The Soul brothers and was absolutely fantastic! Great music ! Great Food and amazing Service ! We love coming to The jolly sailor

Lovely food, and good ales too. We really enjoyed our lunch here, we will return as I didn't get a look in of my hubby's seafood platter!! But my fish and chips was delicious

First time visiting. Myself and a friend took my children last Friday on the boat trip during half term to Heybridge basin. We popped in on the off chance looking for a table. We will 100% be coming back again. Very friendly and helpful service. Food was incredible. Not normally generous on food scores unless it's perfect. No long waits. Food was beautiful and warm. Two kids meals were more than ample in size. My sandwich had so much filling and my friend said her liver and bacon was amazing. It looked it too. Chips were enormous. My son and I shared the scampi and my sandwiches. We weren't going to have one but we went for pudding too. My friend had the crumble. I had the cherry pie (really recommend it! not for the faint hearted. Kids had ice cream. Absolutely delicious will be returning

Good service, food and location! Perfect place if you fancy a bite and a scenic location next to the lock! Motorbike will be alot slower on way home after that home made apple crumble with sultanas and custard :D

Had a lovely lunch here in the sunshine. Friendly staff who were great even when super busy. Good pub food in a beautiful setting.
