Our food arrived in a timely manner and was absolutely delicious. After a long day of walking, we decided that water would be the best drink to rehydrate. For the most part, our waiter kept up with our needs. Unfortunately, that didn’t last, and towards the end of our meal, our water glasses were empty. We asked for more water three times, but I eventually gave up. Needing hydration, I went to the bar and served myself from the beverage station without any fuss. I returned to the table successfully, but that’s when my companion had to flag down our waiter again. When you find yourself having to flag down your waiter multiple times in a not-so-busy restaurant, excuses won’t help improve the situation. If our waiter was feeling overwhelmed, he should have known to seek assistance from other staff or the manager. Aside from the water issue, our visit was very enjoyable.
While this was happening, a man sitting nearby questioned the bartender about women, making a disrespectful comment. As a woman, I found this offensive and spoke up, but he told me to shut up. When I confronted him about his remark, I was unexpectedly thrown out of the bar without having received my daiquiri. I've never experienced such disrespect from a bartender before.
On the other hand, we frequently order from Glory Days because we love their food, but I have to admit I was shocked to discover they removed mozzarella cheese sticks from the menu just last week. Why would you do that? They’ve been a staple for nearly 20 years! Plus, my son, who has autism and has a limited diet, adored the kids' pasta with Parmesan garlic cream sauce. We would always order two servings once a week. Now it’s gone! The only kids' option left is mac and cheese, which he actually dislikes. Come on, Glory Days…these changes are really disappointing! If there’s nothing for our child to eat, our family can’t dine there. Do you realize how rare it is for us to eat together anywhere?
I sat outside with some friends to catch up, and we had a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly patient with our slow ordering and didn’t rush us out, allowing us to enjoy our time together. The food and drinks were excellent and reasonably priced—even better, they were not during happy hour!
