Sir Robert Stanford Estate - Hermanus

What a rare find!! We were so fascinated by the beautiful but sad story about the history of this great man. He needs more honor than what is given to him. The wines are stunning and the only Chenin blanc found in this region. The fireplace went and we were blessed to have a lady who is the accountant of this farm, but for a friend who was sick. Please spend time here and enjoy beautiful wines

We have visited the estate a few times over the last 6 years and have always enjoyed tasting these special wines. Today’s tasting which Karen presented was by far the best. She shared the history of Stanford village and the wine estate with us which made it a fascinating experience!
