Compared with other wine regions we found the industrial and built up nature of the Swan Valley region (dissected by highways) all rather disappointing. Fortunately we found The Black Swan a peaceful oasis with a lovely rural vineyard outlook, a variety of comfortable seating, great...wines and fabulous food. We enjoyed garlic bread followed by the shared Chef's Platter a mix of Turkish bread with balsamic oil, pork sliders, Panko crusted prawns, arancini balls, lamb ribs and salad. The staff members were welcoming and efficient. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely return if back in the area.

First time here with friends for lunch on a Sunday. Great atmosphere and the service was very good. The food was excellent. Great selection from the menu.

5 guests to celebrate sister in laws birthday. All doors open, freezing cold, people having to rug up to eat. Plenty of staff around, but service was extremely slow. Why only one person taking orders??Had to ask for drinks. 3 meals were ok. The Barramundi...was not great. Asked for menu for desserts, After selecting waiting 10 minutes or more could not attract staff, so went to bar to order. Initially ignored by the staff, then when I said I wanted to order desserts was abruptly told I would have to wait as she was serving customers, showing me some order slip. When I said forget it. Walked back to the table and decided to leave (which I felt bad about for the birthday 85 yr old girl. This person then came to the table and again was rude (not only my opinion). We left. Won't be back.

Had an amazing shader for lunch. the atmosphere with a view of the weinberge was simply beautiful. the personal was excellent.
