La Chine China Bistro - Hendersonville

I was searching for some good Chinese food since options are limited in Portland, TN. While I was with my doctor, I came across this restaurant and I'm so glad I decided to give it a try! I ordered the sweet and sour shrimp lunch special and it did not disappoint! The shrimp was perfectly cooked and it came with delicious roasted rice and two excellent spring rolls. I can’t wait to go back and explore more items on the menu! I highly recommend this place!

The restaurant has a spacious, modern atmosphere that is clean and well-lit. Our server was friendly and attentive, even taking the time to box our leftovers for us. However, I found the chicken in my sweet and sour chicken dish to be quite dry, and considering the price, it wasn't my favorite Chinese meal.

The place is a little smaller than expected, but don't let it be quenched. The service and quality of food is amazing. That was my first visit and now I have a new favorite restaurant. If you enjoy the Sommeliersuppe, try it here. Although there is not much color to the broth, it is FULL of taste. The chicken was perfectly cooked and also the rice. I don't know what they do differently, but it works. *If you ask, they will not deliver, but they will take over.

The chicken fried rice was my favorite dish. It featured light and fluffy rice, an amazing flavor, and generous pieces of fresh chicken—I'd rate it a 10 out of 5! The vegetable lo mein was my least favorite. While it was cooked well, it lacked flavor, so I’d give it a 3 out of 5. In addition to the excellent food, the service was prompt, polite, and pleasant. All in all, La Chine has quickly become my favorite Chinese restaurant in Hendersonville, and I can't wait to try the Egg Foo Young!

Great little Chinese restaurant! Very clean, table service, friendly staff, tasty food and reasonable prices. They're tucked in a corner so a bit harder to find, but well worth the effort. There's outdoor seating, too, if the weather's nice. We tried the Orange Chicken and the Kung Pao Shrimp. Orange sauce was perfect, enough orange without being overpowering. Kung Pao had enough zing without being painful. Great place, eat here soon and often!
